Cookie Policy
Effective date: 10 April 2026
Last updated: 13 April 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how BatchBuddy, operated by The Little Tamar Dairy Company Pty Ltd (ABN 57 624 539 699), uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use our application.
This Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Cookies let a website remember things between visits (for example, that you’re logged in) and help site owners understand how their site is used.
Cookies set by the website you’re visiting are called “first-party” cookies. Cookies set by a different domain (for example, an analytics or advertising provider) are called “third-party” cookies.
2. Types of cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for BatchBuddy to function and cannot be switched off without breaking the application. They include:
- Authentication cookies — set by WorkOS AuthKit to keep you signed in.
- Session cookies— used to remember state during a single browsing session (for example, which step of a form you’re on).
- Security cookies — used to detect and prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and other attacks.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent under Australian or EU law.
2.2 Preference cookies
These cookies remember choices you’ve made to personalize your experience, such as your theme preference (light or dark) or which panels you have open. They are only set after you interact with the feature that needs them.
2.3 Analytics cookies
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how BatchBuddy is used so we can improve it. We take a different approach on our marketing website and inside our application.
- On our marketing website (batchbuddy.io): we run PostHog in cookieless mode. No cookies, local storage, or session storage are written. Analytics are anonymous and aggregated, and no consent banner is shown because nothing is stored on your device.
- Inside our application (app.batchbuddy.io): we use PostHog with browser local storage to measure product usage. This is only activated after you accept the cookie banner on your first visit. You can decline and still use every feature of the application. You can change your consent at any time from Account Settings → Privacy.
2.4 Marketing cookies
We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies.
3. How to control cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Cookie banner — when you first visit, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies.
- Browser settings — every major browser lets you view, delete, and block cookies. See aboutcookies.org for vendor-specific instructions.
- Do Not Track — we respect the
DNTheader where technically feasible, though DNT is not supported by all browsers.
Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to BatchBuddy.
4. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for regulatory reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page tells you when it was last revised. Material changes will also be announced via in-app notification.
